Time to take a TIME OUT!!!

This last weekend was one I've been waiting for since last Christmas!! I didn't get any pictures because everyone else was taking them. (so you'd better send them to me or I'll hunt you down!) On Thursday, Jacquelyn and I loaded the car up with the kids and headed for Las Vegas. We dropped Juel off with my mother and then off to my brother & awesome SIL Chanda's. On Friday we did a little shopping and I came out good with a new pair of jeans and a shirt, YES! Then it was to the Cheesecake Factory with, brace yourself, mom, Jacquelyn, Chanda(SIL), Jenny, Jacque (SIL), and Hollie, my wonderful sisters! We all ordered their yummy lettuce wraps and barbecue chicken salad with the exception of the rebel but we won't mention names.

Then it was off to the Time Out for Women Night show. We heard some great music and listened to a talk byElia Gourgouris, Ph.D. and then it was back to Chanda's for some yummy cheesecake. By the way I think that the white chocolate caramel macadamian nut was by far the best! Then we visited with each other and eventually got a little sleep in.

Early the next morning we headed back to the TOW and was filled with the spirit by some great speakers: Amanda Dickson (Crazy & Hilarious), Chris Stewart, and the amazing Virginia Hinckley Pearce and many more! The talented and humorous Hillary weeks was the musical presenter and host for the day. For all of those who don't have her music I would recommend it. She's amazing!

My favorite performance though was by Jason Deere and the Tribute to Nashville band. They came to Enterprise a few years back and performed Joseph, A Nashville tribute and I fell in love with their country side of church music. They are very talented and had special performances by Mindy Gledhill and Tim Gates of the up and coming Due West band. I really liked his voice and my sister, again, I won't mention names, is a hair stylist and wanted to touch his soft silky hair so bad! ( Don't worry, I loved it too). She said she wishes she could be his hair stylist. Ha Ha! So funny! (Hey sis, I hope you don't get mad for putting this on here but it was too funny and I don't want to forget it and since this is my journaling and all, this is where it's at). I love ya!

It turned out to be such a fun weekend with a lot of memories to share with my mom and sisters! Thanks honey for the wonderful Christmas present that started it all! Thanks to my Wonderful brother and nieces who so willingly took care of the twins so mommy could have a time out! Thanks to my sisters for being who they are! You are so strong and uplifting and I think the world of you. You are such great examples to me and I am so blessed to have you in my life!! Bonus: you are so much fun to hang out with! Don't forget to plan on next year's TOW. For those of you who would like to learn more about Time Out for Women by Desert Book you can click here

I was so glad to see you and wished I could have visited with you a little more. Who knew you had to go to Las Vegas to see a friend!!! I found you through Stacie's blog! Yeah! I am putting you on my blog roll. And tell your sister it's okay because I would touch Tim Gates hair too. I love him!! He came and did a concert at girls camp this year! Lots of fun!
