Got Milk?

The girls hit a new milestone yesterday and I'm so excited I thought I would share!!! At the end of June I went to Costco and bought almost $400 worth of formula, I was hoping for the last time. Yesterday morning I noticed I only had enough formula for a couple more bottles and their birthday is only two weeks away. So I decided to see how they would take to cows milk. I put some in their sippies first and they got really excited and drank them up. At nap time, I put Eva in her bed with a sippy of milk. She took one drink and started to cry. I was worried they wouldn't take it to go to bed with. I filled up two bottles and gave them each one and they drank it down and went to sleep without a fuss! Yes!!! Eight bottles later they still like it!! Anna still wines a little but then drinks it and goes to bed. I can't believe it....NO MORE FORMULA!!! Jared figures one costco sized Enfimil formula made 3 gallons at $33. I just bought 3 gallons of cows milk for $6!!! The first year is finally nearing the end and I think we'll be saving some money now!

Heidi,
I found your blog through Melinda's. I didn't know you had twins! I swear, once you move out of Enterprise, you never hear about anything. Your family is adorable. What a cute blog! I hope you don't mind, but I put a link on my blog so I could keep track of your happenings. Hope you're doing good!

I can't believe how fast time goes by! But that is a pretty exciting time and a lot of money saved, so congrats! :) Looking forward to it myself yet dreading the time passing.

Wow! That's a lot of money on formula. I'm lucky I get WIC and they provide 10 small cans a month which costs about $150 up here. Do you warm the cow's milk up before you give it to them? Landon's almost 9 months so I guess that something I'll need to think about soon.
