Valentines Day

Valentine boxes sure aren't what they used to be!  This is the first year Juel was even allowed to bring a box and it was optional.  So we spent an hour throwing together this little love monster.  He was pretty excited about it.  I was in charge of his class party and the kids all had a great time.  There were only like two other boxes brought and they were just shoe boxes that were colored on.  I remember having a valentine box contest as a kid and spending hours on mine.   It was kind of a big deal! But in Juel's class once those valentines started coming around the kids could care less about what they put them into!

The girls got to decorate Valentine sugar cookies and got pretty creative.  It's fun to see their artistic side coming out.  Anna put candy hearts on hers then a dot of frosting on each heart.  Eva loaded hers with frosting then sprinkles then more frosting then more sprinkles.

These were taken the day after and they were all dressed up to go to town.  They were being so cute I had to take some pictures.  They have really become best of friends lately.  Eva likes to sit right next to Anna on the couch.   They have really started to play really good too.  They still fight but not near as much as they used to.  At night we struggle getting them to go to sleep because it's like a big slumber party every night and they get so hyper and just want to play and talk.  Sometimes they will sing a song together and sometimes they won't settle down until they get a little spank.  Naughty but CUTE!
