We had a crazy week full of 18 inches of rain (recorded in the west mountains) and lots of washes filled to capacity. A dyke broke in Spring creek wash and Jared got a call at 6:00am from the elder's quorum to go help. The town used the reserve 911 system and sent calls to everyone around 7:00 to go help. It was an amazing day full of service from the community. The relief society even got the stake center full of food and drinks and also ran them around town to where the volunteers were working. They saved a lot of homes from a lot of damage. That was the start of Jared helping for a few days checking his part of the wash he was in charge of and making sure it was holding up and not weakening. Also filling tons of sandbags. The roads got washed out again to the reservoir which makes our Sunday drives boring now. School also got canceled the last 2 days before Christmas break which was awesome!
