It's a Moody Family Home Evening

We've started a monthly family home evening with Jared's brother's family and his sister's family. I chose to do the first one and for last minute planning it turned out really fun. We ate lasagna for dinner then I had Brenden read a story about a girl who had to follow the clues to find her treasure and then we talked about why we should obey the rules. Then we gave the boys a GPS and they had to use it to find their own treasure. We hiked up a mountain a little ways and it took a minute but they found it! It had Twinkies and Smarties for the kids. We hiked back down and hung out around the pond for a little bit. The kids enjoyed their treasures and some popcicles. We then came back to our house for some yummy cake. What a great evening!
