Girl's, girl's, and more girls.

So I don't really know what to right about this week but I would really like to keep up the record I'm on. Nothing too exciting has happened this week. I think I have been working on Young Women's all week next to keeping up with my two girls. Can I just say that I am loving Young Women's though! I do have a few gripes about it though like for one, we don't have a camp director yet and girls camp is in a little over two months away. I guess last year they didn't plan very much either and this kind of bugs me a little. We have some awesome girls in our ward ard and I think they deserve a little attention from their leaders. The new president was the 1st councilor in the last Presidency so I don't know if she is feeling burned out or what. I don't think we see things on the page because I am so excited to be apart of YW's and can't wait for camp and I am willing to do what ever I need to do to make it fun for the girls. When someone asked the president if we should step in and help with girls camp especially since we don't have a director yet she said NO! We have too much other things to worry about and we should do nothing! I was shocked!! The only things I know that we have are Youth Conference and the father's day program. But what can you do. One thing I did is made my family drive out to Pine Park for FHE to see if it was in camping condition and itt was. The President thought that would be a good spot since it was in the middle of nowhere and would require no money or reservations. It really would be a fun spot but we would have to haul in all of our water and Johns. The best thing about the leaders though is my counsilor. She is so much fun and easy going. We get along so good! I got thinking about her and her husband one time and remembered that Heather dated her husband in highschool. Kind of funny now. I guess thats what you get in small towns. This week we are planning a plan of salvation scavenger hunt that will pass off a personal progress. This idea literally popped into my head and I think it will be so fun. For the war in heaven we will go to the Veteran's memorial then for birth the clinic, for mortal life the highschool, for death the cemetary, for judgement day-the court house then for eternal life we will come back to my house and have the 3 degrees of glory for them. For telestial-sunflower seeds, for terrestial-a peppermint, and for celestial, Chocolate cake. It should be a fun activity for our first one with just our mia-maids class. I attended the Young Women's broadcast last night and it was so wonderful. I am so grateful for this calling. I think I needed it more than I thought. It's so refreshing to get out and have a little social life. I feel like its girls night out when I'm there. This is going to be a fun experience.

Sounds like you are a great YW leader! Don't give up hope :) Heavenly Father will bless your efforts.
