Happy Halloween!

We had a busy but great Halloween this year! I was in charge of a combined ym/yw activity and we had fun doing a video scavenger hunt.  Then I was in charge of Juel class party and we had a great time playing games and eating yummy treats.  The girls gave me hugs when I had to leave.  It made all that work worth it. I also made four cakes for the cake walk at the carnival. Then I invited some of Juel's cousins over for a spooky halloween party while they waited to go trick or treating.  Then Juel got to go to a Halloween Birthday party and they showed up trick or treating at 4:30!  Juel wasn't even wearing costume!  Silly kids!  The girls looked so cute as little twin witches and Juels costume rocked this year!  He took his lego obsession to his costume this year and he picked Lego Indiana Jones.  We had fun making it and he couldn't wait to show his friends! He made them wait until the carnival on Friday to show them.  And of course he won Best Costume for Second grade.  Everyone went crazy over it.  But it was very hard for him to walk and see in so Jared had to stay and help him in everything he did.  For Trick or Treating we went without the legs so he could get his bag of candy in a timely matter.  But he still had a hard time seeing and fell down our stairs on our porch when he tried to go out.  I think at this point he was reconsidering his  costume but he never let us know.  What a trooper!
