What in the world is in Pioche, Nevada
Well that was definately my question. We were suppost to go camping but the Dad's, of all people, decided they didn't want to try and brave the weather which turned out to be beautiful all weekend long. They talked about going to Eagle Valley by Pioche and I heard that they have a labor day celebration so we headed there for the day. It's a really cool town but plenty of partiers there too. There were a few toys for the kids to play on and we only had a few choices when it came to lunch from the vendors. We tried some ribbon fries with chili and cheese. After that we headed up to Eagle valley resevoir and threw a few rocks in the water. Just a few though, there were a lot of fisherman up there. It was a really pretty lake and would make a great camping spot. After that we stop at Cathedral Gorge State Park to see what it was all about and let the kids run free for a while. We ended up staying there longer than we planned. I can't believe I've never been there! Juel's begging me to take him back. Even the twins loved walking all over. They kept falling but would jump up and keep going. It was a perfect way to enjoy a Saturday.

You went to my old stomping grounds. I went to part of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades there. My dad owned a house in Pioche for several years. I fished a lot at Eagle Valley growing up, and loved hiking Cathedral Gorge.
