We planned to visit Yellowstone National park before Cole's Mission Farewell. We kind of booked a little late and everything was full! We found a nice hotel north of West Yellowstone near Big Sky, Montana. Here's how the trip went!
Day one we stayed at a hotel in provo and did some swimming. Day 2 we stopped at Jared's favorite store, Smith's and Edward's
Stopped at the YUMMIEST Sandwich shop in Blackfoot Idaho for lunch
After a long beautiful drive we arrived at our Hotel in Big Sky. They had a great pool and slide! They had a little mix up and overbooked so we almost didn't get to stay! We hung out for a little bit and they were able to fit us in. I don't know what we would have done! Everything was booked!
We found this awesome BBQ restaurant on the rive and it was so pretty and tasty!
Day 3 we headed into the park to some hiking and sight seeing. Juel was so excited! He has always wanted to visit this park. There is so much to see here so there are a ton of photos! I've been here a few time and Jared has only been once right after we were married. This is the kids first time but it is a must do with the family. It was a little hot and very crowded though!
We found an actual pay phone! You don't see these very much anymore!
Day 4: Lot's of hours will the car will drive you to stick gummy worms on your chin!
We stopped for a picnic and found a couple of friends that really liked Doritos! Can't blame them, they are our favorite!
The water was freezing but only scares me away!
A lot of driving today but it was beautiful!
Yellowstone grand canyon
We finally got to see some buffalo! We happened upon this big guy at the per time! He crossed right in front of our car! It was a highlight of the whole trip!
A must is alway Old Faithful. He's aways been faithful since I first saw him when I was little!
We stopped for dinner at this popular food truck. Pretty good mexican food.
Just shopping around.
Day 5: We visited the wildlife museum/rescue before we headed into the park for the last time.
We got to see the bears eat and see some wolves.
Hanging out in a teepee isn't too bad!
Take about a giant bear couch!
We finally saw some elk!
More buffalo
Pretty lake by the Tetons.
We stopped to play in Jackson before heading to Star Valley. We had so much fun we could turn that into a vacation by itself! The kids here were a little afraid of the ride on the arial tram. It took us to the top of a really high mountain!
It was so windy and cold up there! We were so high!
We paid a lot of money to ride the tram then we found out right next to that was the gondolas for free! So we rode them up to eat lunch up on that mountain. Many people brought their bikes up to right back down. Such a fun adventure!
The cowboy shadow is a little weird! I don't know where it's coming from.
My phone crashed on our way home and luckily my photos were on the cloud but I lost some darling videos of the kids on this ride. They were being so silly!
Lunch!
Pretty girls by some pretty flowers.
We had a great couple of days in Star Valley with the family before we headed for home.
On the way home my phone completely crashed! I was so worried I lost all of these photos! I lost some really cute videos though.
