San Francisco Baby!

Jared and I got to travel with some friends to San Francisco for a weekend getaway.  We were so excited to visit somewhere new with a great group of people.
On Day one we dropped the kids off at their Aunt Stacies for a sleepover then head to my brothers in Las Vegas to meet my new little nephew Hudson.  He was so sweet and cute that I didn't want to leave him!  Then we went and checked into our hotel and checked out the gold and silver pawn shop from one of our favorite shows "Pawn Stars".  We weren't expecting much because we heard it wasn't great but we enjoyed it and saw quite a few things from the show.  Then we went to one of my favorite restaurants the Cheesecake Factory and got my usual Lettuce Wraps Yumm!
Aunt Stacie got to do the girls hair and they looked so cute! It's so nice to know my kids were in the best hands!
We made it to San Francisco fairly early and headed to the Golden Gate Bridge.  There was some fog cover so you couldn't see the whole bridge.  But it was pretty! We left the bridge and headed toward Fishermans Warf and on our long journey over we saw a crowd by the beach and next thing we knew there was a big air show going on.  It was flight week and there were a ton of people everywhere and the air show went on for hours.  We saw ...
  • Coast Guard HH-65 Rescue Demonstration
  • Patriots Jet Team
  • Navy EA-6B Prowlers
  • USAF B-2 Bomber (Saturday only)
  • USMC MV-22 Osprey
  • RCAF Snowbirds Jet Team
  • Navy F-18 Super Hornet
  • United Airlines 747
  • USAF F-15 Strike Eagle
  • Sean D. Tucker & Team Oracle
  • US Navy Blue Angels
My favorite was the Canadian Snowbirds and the Blue Angels.  It was so amazing to watch!

The bay area was really pretty and we ate at a fun and yummy sourdough bread place called Boudin Sourdough Bakery & Cafe.  Their Clam chowder in a bread bowl was the best ever!
Then we hung out at the piers and waited for out cruise to Alcatraz Island. The streets were so crowded with families and military men and women.  We enjoyed people watching for a while.  Alcatraz Island was so awesome.   I loved learning about the prison and prisoners.  It's set up really great and gives you a really good idea of what it was like.  Kind of crazy!
This is view of the city from Alcatraz.  Gorgeous!
On our second day we took it kind of easy after our long day.  We headed to Candlestick stadium early for the 49ers and Tampa Bay game.  We had fun seeing all of the tailgaters in the parking lot.  Everyone had tons food that smelled so good! We took our time exploring the stadium and hung out until the game started.  Of course I had to get a picture by Steve Young's jersey! He was a favorite of mine!
Just Chilling in our seats.
Not far from our seats was the field and the players warming up.  It was so different watching a pro game live!  It was the funnest game I've ever been to.  Of course we won which helped with the fun.
After the game we went out to eat.  Jared and I had to leave the next morning early so Jared could be back to school in time for a test.  We had a great time and it is always nice coming home to my adorable kids that I miss like crazy when I'm gone!
