Surviving the Holidays!

Well the holidays have come and gone and in a way I am a little sad but I was so ready for them to be over. I have been really busy with the girls and its been hard to find a little time to spend with Juel. We had a small Thanksgiving dinner at our house with Brenden & Rachelle, Justin & Heather, & Stacie & Warren. I did most of the cooking and somehow it all turned out pretty good. We played Braxtons guitar hero and cards. It was a really nice day. I did so much cooking that when dinner was done in all of 10 minutes I was like thats it? It's over? But it was well worth it. Everyone had their own special requests we incorporated into the mix and we ended up with about 6 pies. Needless to say, we had a lot of food left over.
The following week we had the Holt family Christmas party at our house. We had a lot of fun and Santa even had time to come. The next day our baby girls got blessed by Jared. It was an awesome day and our girls looked so beautiful. Blessing the girls put a whole new perspective on their life. That was the first white dress they will get to wear of the three white dresses they will have in their life. I love them so much and love every moment with them.
Christmas snuck up really fast and I was so busy with the girls, shopping, and Juels class party that before it got here I was ready to put it all away. We spent Christmas Eve's day in St. George with grandma and grandpa moody and opened presents at home then we went back down to St. George on Christmas Day. We had an enjoyable Christmas. Juel received many presents which included; the smart cycle, stick horse, a car play set and some spiderman toys. Eva and Anna received some clothes and toys. Jared surprised me with timeout for women tickets and we bought a new video camera on Christmas Eve. After Christmas we went to Vegas and stayed in a really nice hotel for a few days. It was so nice to just get away and forget our worries. We had a new years party at our house which only Warren and Stacie could come to. But we had a lot of fun and enjoyed bringing in the new year. On new years day we went to the movies and saw National Treasure 2. It was really good but Juel got bored rather fast. Then we enjoyed dinner at Texas Roadhouse. Our girls were really good all day and we had a lot of fun.
Jenny got married that Friday, the fourth and by then Jared and I were exhausted. Jared took the kids back to aunt Jacquelines shortly after the ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding and Jenny looked beautiful. Since then January has flown by so fast. I have a couple of goals for this coming year. I would like to loose the extra baby weight but it's not the most important thing to do this year. I would like to get our house completely finished with landscape this spring and ready to sell. I've decided I'm ready to settle down in a small comfy affordable house. One that I could live in for a really long time. I don't think Jared is ready for that yet but I sure am. I am ready to have a finished yard that my family and I can play in year after year and make some really fun memories. I want to stay in a ward long enough to get to know everyone. Even in the small town of Enterprise there are always move ins and people you don't really know. I want to spend as much time with my kids as I can because they are growing so fast and soon my girls won't be babies anymore. I am loving life right now and I love my family so much. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for all that he has blessed me with this last year and I am so excited for this new year. We I am excited t get to study Joseph Smith in releif society and the Book of Mormon in Sunday School. It is going to be a great year at church and at home. So after all that, I guess we have survived the Holidays again!
